Amritsar Lahore Bus Service Waiting For Passengers

Written by Jas Bajwa
Bus service Amritsar Lahore  ticket counter has been waiting for passenger ticket sales, despite it gets many calls about the inquiry about the service , bus fare and visa information. The ticket counter in Amritsar's ticket sale too low and may continue if the visa center not opened in punjab.
Few days back , govt of both countries announced many programs and one of them was a regular bus service between Amritsar ( India ) and Lahore Pakistan. Despite this bus service caught too much media attention and exposure during the past days, still lacks in real passengers travelling between the two end points of the voyage.

The bus has been covering its voyage with 2 to 4 passengers and in some cases only the bus staff is the one who are on-board with not a single passanger.

The bus which started on Jan-20, had to leave without any passenger as not a single ticket was sold. On the other hand Bus scheduled from Lahore to Amritsar for 24-Jan has been able to cash on only on two passengers.

Management Office of the bus service , recieved regular calls from various places, from potential passengers regarding the bus fares, visa requirements, bus timings and other questions, but hardly anyone turns back to purchase the actual ticket. Management believs that one of the reasons of shortage of pasanegers is the visa requirements and the lack of resources of getting a visa.

Currently Visa has to be issued from New Delhi and many passengers have to go through many required processes involved in issuance of Visa. And it does takes more time to just get the visa as people have to make few trips to Delhi. We believe if a speical visa office was located in Punjab itself, there would have been more people making plans to travel to Pakistan.
