Barrie, Canada : The Bhangra team lead by Ranvir Grewal wins the heart of Canadians by their Bhangra performance and left an everlasting image of punjabi culture among the audiences. This was the first time that bhangra was ever performed in Barrie, Canada where you may hardly find any punjabi community. The efforts of Ranvir and his team together has set an example by introducing punjabi cultural dance away from punjab in Barrie.
 Amarjeet Gill, Kewal Gill, Inder Saini, Sukhwinder Kainth, Ranvir Grewal (team leader) & Harkaran Virk Not only the performance of the team was the highlight of the event but it became the buzz in the city too, The team performed three times in two days and was broadcasted on the Rogers T.V Channel two times, which itself is a great achievement for the whole team. College principal and whole staff was impresed with the success of bhangra introduction in the event and awarded prizes for the whole team. By these effrots not only the team showcased their talent but they have also presented an image of punjab and punjabi culture. Ranvir and his team members are all students of Gerogian College, Barrie. |
