The Sikh devote who belonged to Hyderabad was seriously injured having his leg and an arm fractured. He is admitted in Guru Ram Dass hospital here. He was returning from Golden Temple in his Nova car when he saw six youth forcibly pushing the girl into van. The girl daughter of a senior army officer was an engineering student in Delhi and she had travelled from Delhi in a bus to visit her parents. She was looking for an auto roickshaw when accused spotted her.

According to eyewitnesses, Ishar Singh followed the kidnappers in his car and bumped into them to stop their car. The accused came out of the car and attacked Ishar Singh injuring him seriously. Even after Ishar Singh's leg and arm was fractured, he pulled out the girl from clutches of kidnappers and drove her to nearby police station. Police later took Ishar Singh to hospital. By the time police reached on the spot, the accused had fled. According to Ishar Singh, the accused were travelling in Maruti van No.PB 02 E 6158. Police has rounded up certain youth but no case has so far been arrested. Girl was sent home after recording her statement, police said.
