The 1st planned modern city of India designed by the French architect Le Corbusier serves as the capital of both Punjab and Haryana. However, the city does not belong to either state.
Chandigarh was constituted as a union territory on 1st November, 1966 and is administered by the Government of India. The city is named after the mother goddess of power, Chandi, and a fort or ‘garh’ beyond the Chandi temple. The city is divided into 47 numbered sectors.
It has well-laid roads lined with rows of trees and beautifully planned buildings. Against the backdrop of the Siwalik smountains, the city looks charming. Chandigarh experiences extreme climate. Best time to visit this place is October to March.

The City Beautifull of India is Chandigarh…
I’ve been staying in Madras and i’ve been missing chd a lot…. The most happening city in India is Chandigarh…. beautifull city, beautifull parks, planned sectors, everything in chandigarh is planned, the water is so tasty and chilled even in hot summers….;
The best place to stay in India after ur retirement is Chandigarh…. very good enviornment with social security is available in Chandigarh…

I feel so attached with this City coz I was born and brought up here only n now when m away I know therez a lot to miss bout chandigarh. I m in UK bt theres nothin as gud as air of chandigarh. U be ther n u feel it. Its really wonderfull n fres, . I miss PU campus n its geri, the StuC food, the Lake, The food of sher-e-punjab, the wonderful view of the lake, the 10-11 geri route, the coffee shops barista n cafe coffee day. hanging out at these places with ur friends is so much fun.
n ya all these places r nt too far from each other so u can enjoy alltogether every thing.
and a lot more places coz its hard to talk all of it. but i love chandigarh a lottttttt. It will always be the best destination in the world for me.
