South Asian Studies Program, Emory University and SAJA, the South Asian Journalists Association present:
South Asians and the Media: A Town Hall for the Atlanta Community Saturday
Feb. 17, 2007, 11 am-1 pm

Join several prominent journalists from the mainstream and ethnic TV and print
publications for a discussion on how the media covers the South Asian community
and how the coverage can be improved.

Speakers include:
Rena Golden, head of CNN International
Hamid Khan, correspondent, Pakistan News
Ram Ramgopal, anchor for CNN-IBN, CNN’s India partner
Parthiv Parekh, editor, Khabar
Sheila Tefft, director of Emory’s Journalism Program
Moni Basu, staff reporter, Altanta Journal-Constitution (heading back to cover
Iraq the following week; has already been there twice).
